How to create GCP budget and billing alerts
Creating a budget
- Login to the GCP billing console:
- Select the relevant project from the list
- From the left pane, click on "Budgets & alerts"
- From the main pane, click on "Create budget":
- Budget name: Specify here a name for the budget
- Project or billing account: Select the relevant project from the list
- Budget amount: Select "Specified amount", and specify the amount in the relevant currency
- Include credit as a budget expense: Leave the default setting selected
- Set budget alerts at 75%, 85% and 90%
- Click on Save
- Logoff the GCP billing console
